Manchester United are once again in the race to sign Bayern Munich star Arturo Vidal in the summer.

The old Trafford outfits were linked with the Chilean’s signature back in 2015 while at Juventus but the deal didn’t materialize as he chose to join Bayern Munich, where he has won three back-to-back  title.

The midfield maestro has been awesome for the Bavarian club this season but he is reportedly tipped to move out of Allianz Arena, alongside Robert Lewandowski, in the summer.

According to Chilean reporter Maks Cardenas, the 31-year-old, who is currently recovering from a knee injury, could be moving to Old Trafford in the summer after refusing to sign a new contract offered him by Bayern Munich board.

However, Cardenas admitted that it might be very tough for United to capture his signature due to Alexis Sanchez’s presence in the team.

With Sanchez in the team,  Arturo Vidal might refuse joining the Red Devils in the summer due to a reported feud between both players after they failed to qualify for this year’s World Cup tournament in Russia.

It remains unknown if Mourinho would want to proceed in his quest to acquire the midfielder, whom he sees as the best player to replace Paul Pogba at the centre of the pitch, should the Frenchman decides to end ties with the club.
