Former Napoli manager Maurizio Sarri is edging closer to signing a deal with the Blues as Conte’s replacement.
The Italian is being tipped as the favourite option to succeed his compatriot at Stamford Bridge in the summer.
Should he finally move to West London, he would need to spend more on bringing new and quality players to the team this summer transfer window, if he must achieve a good remarks with the Blues in his debut season.
Knowing fully well how uninspiring Conte’s men performed in the just concluded season, Maurizio Sarri has told Abramovich that he would require nothing less than £197m to bring new faces to the club so as to lay claim for the League trophy next season.
According to reports via Gazetta , Sarri is heavily linked with a move for Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly, who is valued at £79m by the Serie A team.
The report also claims that the former Napoli manager, who is now replaced by Carlo Ancelotti, is eyeing a double swoop for the Naples right-back Elseid Hysaj and midfielder Piotr Zieliński in the summer.
Both players are said to cost the Blues a total sum of £100m, according to the Italy-based media outlet.
Higuain is also part of the players, who could join Chelsea alongside Sarri in the summer. It is left for Ancelotti to decides whether he would live to pathways with the four impressive players.
