Liverpool captured Fabinho’s signature despite Arsenal’s desperate move to prevent the deal from materializing.
According to a report from Sky Sport, the Gunners made a last-minute effort to snatch the Brazilian from Liverpool as they offered Monaco a Mouthwatering deal but they appeared too late to accomplish their mission.
The Reds were smart in negotiating with Monaco over a deal with the Brazilian player, who spent last season on loan with Ukrainian Champions Shakhtar Donetsk.
He was signed up by Jurgen Klopp on a deal worth £39.3m but the manager would wait until the first of July when transfer window will be officially opened in England, before he starts working with him.
Chelsea and Manchester United were also linked with the player’s services but he chose to play under Klopp in the upcoming season.
While revealing the reason behind his decision to join Liverpool, the 24-year-old midfielder told reporters that Liverpool possesses some of the best sporting facilities in the world which will help him grow to become a better player.
He further confessed that the Merseyside club were the first team to contact his agent to know their chances of getting him in the summer. It should be recalled that Unai Emery tried to sign him at PSG but he failed in his bids.
