‘He’s Going Nowhere’; United Star Player Set For New Contract

Manchester United striker Anthony Martial is heavily linked with a move out of Old Trafford after an Underwhelming performance throughout last season.

The Frenchman man started last season on a bright note, forming a formidable partnership with Romelu Lukaku at the club’s frontline.

However, his partnership with the Belgian forward was a short-lived one as he was pushed to the bench by Alexis Sanchez, who joined the team from Arsenal in January.

Though the Chilean didn’t perform up to his usual best, Martial wasn’t given the chance to lay claim for his place in Mourinho’s starting lineup till the end of the season.

Many reporters tipped the youngster to move to another club, with Chelsea and Arsenal both keen on his services this summer.

Meanwhile, there could be a new twist to his future at the Theater of Dreams, if reports via The Sun is anything to believe in.

According to the British media outlet, the 22-year-old is presently in talks with United over the possibility of extending his deal with the club.

The Frenchman still has a contract which will expire next season but the 20-time Premier League Champions are unwilling to part way with the youngster this summer.

It remains unknown if the report is from a reliable source because it would be a bit surprising to see Martial at Old Trafford next season as it is obvious that Mourinho didn’t rate him as one of the players he needed to succeed in the upcoming season.

Man United Made To Wait Until Summer To Sign Italy-based Winger

Douglas Costa

Premier League giants Manchester United might need to wait till the summer before they can sign Juventus winger Douglas Costa.

This is according to the publication from Italian media portal Calciomercato.

Douglas Costa has been linked with a move to Manchester United with earlier reports claiming that the Red Devils will sign the Brazilian international star in a £36m deal this month.

Those reports proved to be wide off the mark.

The aforementioned publication revealed that Italian Serie A giants Juventus don’t have an intention of sanctioning an exit for the former Shakhtar Donetsk winger in the current January transfer window.

Douglas Costa initially joined Juventus from German Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich on a temporary deal at the start of last season.

He signed for the Old Lady on a season-long deal and impressed a great deal during the loan contract before the transfer was made permanent last summer in a £44m deal.

Douglas Costa has not had the same impact in this campaign like what was obtainable in the black and white of Juventus last season.

He could be a direct replacement for Manchester United flop Alexis Sanchez who has not been able to reproduce his good Arsenal form at Old Trafford since he left the Gunners in January 2018.

Christian Eriksen

There is a long list of suitors, including English Premier League sides who are all interested in the signature of North London outfit Tottenham playmaker Christian Eriksen and West London side Chelsea are reported to have joined the race.

The Blues will now join the likes of Manchester City, Arsenal, and Spanish La Liga outfit Real Madrid to compete for the signature of the star playmaker.

Christian Eriksen is a major part of the Mauricio Pochettino side and has been an unchanged figure with his class performance season-in, season-out. This has attracted a number of interests.

Tottenham will now be tempted with luring offers that could have them consider selling the star player with the likes of Real Madrid and Man City ready to break the star player.

The Spanish side have identified the Danish ace as a possible replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo who has left the club in the last summer to join Italian Serie A giants Juventus.

It is therefore uncertain what the decision of the North London side would be as they are yet to receive any official bid for the player but suggestions are that Tottenham will not let Christian Eriksen leave the club in this January winter transfer window.

Michy Batshuayi

English Premier League outfit Chelsea are reportedly ready to have Michy Batshuayi sold to Everton in this winter transfer window.

Michy Batshuayi has been recalled from his loan at the Spanish La Liga outfit Valencia after failing to impress at the club.

Everton are reportedly ready to have the signature of the star player with the Blues ready to hand him out for £40 million on a permanent deal but the Toffees are requesting loan deal.

Meanwhile, Everton cannot land him on loan anymore as they have already got Chelsea’s French defender Kurt Zouma on loan.

However, they are keen on having Michy Batshuayi as they struggle to put up quality performances in the attack and have identified the star player as a good fit who can rekindle his career at Everton.

Everton are therefore not alone in the race for Michy Batshuayi as French Ligue 1 outfit Monaco are also all out for his signature with the Thierry Henry side out to have a perfect second half of the season by strengthening their squad.

Monaco recently landed Spain international Cesc Fabregas from the West London outfit which means Michy Batshuayi will be the second capture from the Stamford Bridge should they win the race ahead of Everton.

Gonzalo Higuain

Sky Sports report that English Premier League side Chelsea are not losing any sleep over their wish to bring in Argentina international Gonzalo Higuain to the Stamford Bridge before the January winter transfer window ends.

The report, therefore, claims that the Blues are confident that they can at least, secure a loan deal for Gonzalo Higuain with an option of a buy.

The West London side are looking forward to parting ways with Spanish striker Alvaro Morata with manager Maurizio Sarri keen to have him leave for the Argentina international before this winter transfer window is over.

Italian Serie A outfit AC Milan are reported to be reluctant to let him leave the club in this winter window as they have got no replacement for him despite the fact that he has not been in the best of form.

However, from latest development, AC Milan boss Gennaro Gattuso seems to have given up on losing the player as he claimed that the decision is left for Gonzalo Higuain to make as he would not be forced to stay.

Meanwhile, Gonzalo Higuain has a past relationship with the Italian manager and will hope it is continued at the West London for the remaining part of the season.

Jordan Henderson

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp might be forced to push out Jordan Henderson away from the club if the request and clamour of the fans is to be harkened to.

Emerging reports claim that the fans are unsatisfied with the player and might force him out of the club by mounting needed pressure on the German boss.

It has been established that Jordan Henderson has not been in fine form in some games which have been a setback to the club as he makes some dangerous mistakes in games.

Jordan Henderson left Sunderland to join Liverpool in 2011 for a fee of £17 million and became a regular in the team, in addition to becoming the captain following the exit of Steven Gerrard from the team.

The 28-year-old midfielder is now being accused of not pushing for the course of winning a title this term with his performance as he has yet to give in enough.

He has a contract with the Reds until 2023 and a release clause of about £30 million but the question of if he would wait to see out his contract at the Anfield is left to the German boss to answer knowing that an eyebrow has been raised already.

Liverpool given 27-year-old transfer challenge

English Premier League leaders Liverpool are one of the few sides that might have made up their mind not to make any move in this winter transfer window as a result of the big squad they have got at the moment.

With the latest development that saw Joe Gomez out to injury as well as Dejan Lovren who has joined the injury list, Liverpool boss was forced to play Fabinho in the defense to pair Virgil Van Dijk.

This has forced calls for new additions in the team with a lot of names already being linked with James Forrest being latest to be mentioned.

Former Wales striker John Hartson in reaction to the latest report of interest in James Forrest challenged that the Reds must have a deep pocket before they can land the star player.

James Forrest has so far scored 11 goals in the 17 appearances under his belt which makes him a player that is highly valued by Celtic and might not be allowed to leave so easily.

He noted that he was amazed to see the £8 million price quoted in the media, stressing that the Scottish side will not take as low as that for a player who has scored a number of goals to prove himself.

Man United To Revive Interest In Real Madrid Star

Gareth Bale

Premier League giants Manchester United will reportedly revive their interest in Real Madrid forward Gareth Bale.

The Welsh international star has been a long-term target of the Red Devils dating back to his time with Tottenham Hotspur.

Manchester United were keen on signing him before he left Tottenham Hotspur for Real Madrid for a then world-record fee of around £85.3m.

The new interest of Manchester United in Gareth Bale was revealed by The Sun who claim that the Red Devils could sign him if England fail to negotiate a deal with the European Union (EU) as regards Brexit.

The failure to agree on a deal on the part of England will mean that Gareth Bale will have to leave Real Madrid and Spain thus paving the way for Manchester United to swoop for him.

Gareth Bale has been a wonderful servant for Real Madrid in his almost six-year stay with the Champions League holders.

The 29-year-old was part of the Real Madrid team that won a third successive Champions League title via a 3-1 victory over Premier League table toppers Liverpool in their final clash in Kiev.

Bale produced a Man-of-the-Match (MotM) display as he scored two goals to lead Real Madrid to victory.

Chelsea tackle Manchester City for Tottenham’s want-away star

Published

Christian Eriksen

Chelsea are in crunch battle with Manchester City for Tottenham midfielder Christian Eriksen who is reportedly ready to end his stay at Wembley stadium this month.

The former 26-year-old playmaker still has a running contract with Spurs until 2020 but the North London club have offered him a contract extension which he reportedly turned down.

According to the Sun, the Danish star is willing to end ties with Mauricio Pochetino’s men and he’s far from reaching an agreement with the club’s hierarchy over a new deal.

Having seen the turn out of events between the two parties, top European clubs are keeping a close eye on Eriksen’s signature as they hope to lure the pacey player out of Wembley.

Spanish media outlet AS reported on Monday that La Liga side Real Madrid are keenly interested in the Denmark international and Santiago Valverde could make an official bid for his services this week.

The Santiago Bernabeu outfits are far from last season’s form and Solari is willing to add some world-class stars, including the Tottenham man, to his squad this month.

Chelsea are also linked with Eriksen’s services as Sarri continues to find a solution to his attacking problems.

In the report, AS suggested the former Napoli manager is willing to release Davide Zappacosta — who has fallen out of favor at Stamford Bridge — to any suitor in order to create space for the Tottenham man.

However, no club made an official approach towards signing the player and he still remains an integral part of Mauricio Pochetino’s side.

95% done deal, Arsenal to sign £14m-rated playmaker on Monday

Published

on

Denis Suarez

Arsenal are close to completing their much-anticipated move for Spanish midfielder Denis Suarez who is wanted out of Camp Nou this month.

Daily Star report that the Gunners have reached a £14.2m agreement with the Catalans and they could confirm the player’s signature as soon as next week Monday.

The 25-year-old midfielder isn’t rated by Ernesto Valverde as the manager often left out of his match-day squad and he is said to be heading to the Emirates stadium.

Unai Emery worked with Denis while he was with Sevilla but both parties didn’t spend much time together before the player’s loan deal came to an end.

It should be recalled that Emery told reporters last week that he’s hoping to add more quality players to his attacking frontline but he’s facing a huge financial setback.

The Daily Star also said the Spanish tactician might sanction Mesut Ozil’s speculated move to Atletico Madrid so as to fund his move for Denis Suarez.

As a result of Arsenal’s financial instability, Unai Emery is set to pull out of the race for Belgian midfielder Yannick Carrasco.

According to the Sun, the Gunners are likely to cool their interest in the Dalian Yifang’s player having failed to meet his price tag.

Should the Gunners hierarchy fail to raise fund to boost their chances of winning Carrasco’s services, Manchester United will be in a firm position to capture the Belgian star.

The Red Devils are said to be eyeing a possible move for his services and Arsenal’s financial crises gives them a huge chance of luring Carrasco to Old Trafford.

Finally, Chelsea invite Barcelona for talks over tar player’s deal

Olivier Giroud

English Premier League side Chelsea will be happy to have Spanish La liga giants Barcelona come forward for talks over a deal for France international Olivier Giroud.

The Spanish La Liga outfit are reported to be considering a move for the former Arsenal player and the West London side are willing to hold talks for a possible deal as Chelsea will be ready to let him leave.

Barcelona are believed to be in search of a striker with former Liverpool man Luis Suarez losing out of form and would need a backup.

Olivier Giroud has not been in the best of form for the West London side since joining the club. Although, he has been defended by manager Maurizio Sarri, stating that he might not score goals but has been able to provide assists and help to pressure the defence.

The World Cup winner has scored only 10 goals in his 42 appearances for the West London side since he joined last January.

However, the Blues will not mind having Olivier Giroud leave the club this winter window and he is believed to be given out for about £13 million which would be well affordable for Barcelona.

Meanwhile, Sarri is keen on Argentina international Gonzalo Higuain as the player to strengthen the team for the remaining half of the season.
