Unai Emery has reportedly swung into action as Arsenal manager, days after his official announcement by Arsenal board of directors.
The former Sevilla and Paris St-German boss has identified PSG defender Rabiot, 23, as his prime target in the summer transfer window as he hopes to improve his team’s display at the back of the pitch.
However, Emery still has much to do in trashing out some contract’s saga with the club’s ‘top players’ before the start of next season.
Jack Wilshere, Aaron Ramsey are both in the latter phase on their respective deals with the North London club.
Danny Welbeck will also see-out his contract by the end of next season, therefore, Emery must decide whether to renew his contract this summer or to cash-in on his signature before the end of the upcoming transfer period.
There have been reports that Wilshere might be heading towards Arsenal’s exit door this summer having failed to renew his deal with the club.
There seems to be a new development to the 26-year-old’s contract talks with the Gunners, according to reports emanating from the Emirates Stadium via Football London, the £16.20m-rated midfielder is ready to stay under the new manager and he is ready to pen a three-year contract with the club this summer.
Having made 38 appearances for Arsenal in the just concluded season despite injuries, the England international is one player whose experience will be needed by Emery to succeed.
