Chelsea might blame themselves once more for not giving Michy Batshuayi the game-time he deserved during the just concluded season.
The Belgian international was unjustly left on the Blues substitute bench by Antonio Conte throughout last season until he was loaned out to Borussia Dortmund in January.
On his arrival at the Westfalenstadion in the winter, Batshuayi wasted no time to hit the ground running as he scored a brace in his debut match for the Bundesliga club.
Having seen his blistering form during his short loan spell, with which he scored nine goals in 14 matches, Borussia Dortmund’s board of directors are ready to make a £50m contract offer for the player’s signature in the summer, according to the Daily Mail.
The Blues are reportedly ready to listen to offer from the Bundesliga giants as they hope to involve in a swap deal which will see Christian Pulisic move to Chelsea while Batshuayi remains at Germany on a permanent basis.
The Blues are hoping they could beat Liverpool and Manchester United to Dortmund’s lively winger Christian Pulisic in the summer.
The 19-year-old American star is currently the rave of the moment, and Chelsea are hoping to lure him to Stamford Bridge as a replacement for Eden Hazard, who is heavily linked with a move to Santiago Bernabeu ahead of next season.
Should Batshuayi eventually move out of Stamford Bridge this summer, he would join Kevin De Bruyne and Mohammed Salah on the list of players who weren’t given the chance to showcase their quality with the West London club.
