Everything is pointing to Maurizio Sarri’s move to Stamford Bridge as the manager was sacked by Napoli on Monday.
The logic is simple, Conte is to be sacked by Chelsea and he is reportedly going to be replaced by Sarri, who is — as at last week — still Napoli manager.
Maurizio Sarri was sacked by the Naples after knowing that he has secretly agreed to Chelsea’s terms and conditions.
He was immediately replaced with former Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti, who is expected to stay with the Serie A giants for three years.
Now, Sarri is presently without a coaching job and that will serve as a catalyst to his chances of getting the Blues managerial job before the close of the summer transfer window.
Should Sarri accept the deal to become Chelsea boss, he is reportedly set to lure Kalidou Koulibaly to the West London Club as his first summer signing.
According to Italy-based media outlet Il Messaggero, Sarri could ask as high as €70m from Roman Abramovich so as to convince the defender to join him at Stamford Bridge despite enjoying one of his best seasons in the just concluded season.
Koulibaly is also being monitored by José Mourinho, who is willing to bolster his defensive ability in the coming season.
With Marcos Rojo-, Eric Bailly and Luke Shaw all tipped to move out of Old Trafford, it is unavoidable for the Portuguese manager to get new defenders in the summer.
