Brazil international Anderson Talisca is reportedly open to a move to the Anfield Stadium in the summer despite interest from Manchester United.
According to Calciomercato, the playmaker, who has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford, seems to have rescinded his decision of joining the Red Devils in the summer.
In the report, the Brazil has confirmed Liverpool’s interest in his services and he could be heading to the Merseyside club after the summer World Cup in Russia.
Though he played for Turkish side Besiktas in the just-concluded campaign, Talisca has returned to Benfica, hoping for an impressive World Cup outings which would draw more suitors to him.
During his loan spell at Besiktas, the 24-year-old emerged as one of the best playmakers in the world, scoring 14 goals and also assisting seven goals in the process.
However, Talisca has openly declared his intention to move join his compatriot Willian in the Premier League next season.
According to him, English League is one of the best Leagues in the world and he can’t wait to move.
“I’d prefer to move to the Premier League. I like the environment, the fans, and I have a nice idea of the English matches: in every game, the fans support you, ” he said.
He further confirmed Liverpool and United’s interests but confess he hasn’t made any decision over who to choose from the two offers he’s received.
“There is interest from Liverpool and Manchester United , but there is nothing certain, there is still nothing concrete. At the moment it is speculation.” he concluded.
Jurgen Klopp will be hoping he beats Mourinho to the player’s signature, so as to serve as Phillippe Coutinho’s replacement.
