Liverpool are in another move for Bayer Leverkusen player Julian Brandt in the summer, though, they are still in the race to sign the club’s goalie Bernd Leno, despite interest from Chelsea and Arsenal.

The Merseyside club have now added the striker to their transfer target list in the summer. Brandt is understood to have signed a new contract with the Bundesliga side in April and the new contract is said to keep him at Bayer Leverkusen till 2021.

Despite his new deal, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has out-picked the speedy forward as the best player who could add more power and pace to his attacking frontline.

According to Calcio, the German manager is looking at the prospect of reinforcing his striking positions despite their exploits in the just-concluded season and he is set to make a big-money move for Brandt’s signature this summer.

However, Bayer Leverkusen are now willing to sanction his move to the Anfield Stadium, as long as the Reds are ready to pay his price tag which is believed to be at the range of £52m, according to the same media outlet.

Having scored 12 goals from 39 matches in all competitions for Leverkusen this season, the highly-rated striker might be a valuable addition to the Merseyside club.

With the current squad of players in Klopp’s squad coupled with Salah, Firmino and Mane’s rich goalscoring form, it might be too difficult for the youngster to get regular action under his compatriot next season.

It remains unknown if the Reds hierarchy would want to pay such price for the youngster in the summer.
