Manchester United were reported to have reached an £80m deal with Lazio for the release of their impressive playmaker Milinko-Savic, according to the Sun earlier in the month.
The latest news via the same source now suggests that the Red Devils have been boosted in their chances of signing the Serbian international this summer after the Serie A side failed to qualify for next season’s Champions League competition.
Lazio needed maximum points against Inter Milan in the last match of the season so as to qualify for an European competition next.
Despite their hard work and performances during the encounter, Lazio- who were playing at the front of their supporters – were defeated 3-2 by the Amazurris to end their hope of returning to the UEFA Champions League competition.
While reacting to Lazio’s defeat, Manchester United fans and other football supporters took to Twitter to show their gladness that Milinko-Savic will now join the Old Trafford outfits in the summer as he wouldn’t want to miss out on next season’s Champions League action.
The United Stand (@UnitedStandMUFC) Tweets that Milinko-Savic is on the move to Old Trafford due to the fact that “Lazio are not in the Champions League”
Michael(@martialLaw90) couldn’t wait for Mourinho to officially unveil the playmaker as he tweets “Milinko-Savic move confirmed.”
