Real Madrid seem to be too desperate in their race to sign Liverpool striker Mohammed Salah this summer as they have reportedly offered Karim Benzema and Cash in a swap deal.
According to Don Balon in the early hours of today, the UEFA Champions League holders are ready to let go of the Frenchman in the summer after less-impressive performances all through this campaign.
The Spanish media outlet claims that Madrid president Florentino Perez is willing to sanction Benzema’s move to Anfield at a reduced price.
The Frenchman was initially valued at £60m by Perez during the last transfer window but the striker has reportedly reduced in his financial worth as Don Balon reports that Perez would love to release him to the Merseyside club as low as €50m (£43million).
It is yet to be seen if Klopp would want to gamble with the 30-year-old striker who looks to have past his prime. Klopp is a manager who wants his strikers to convert every little chance that comes their way and that could be a difficult task for ageing Karim Benzema.
Having played 31 matches for the Los Blancos this season, Benzema has scored just five goals as well as assisting 12 goals for his teammates in all competitions.
Irrespective of the offer he’s receiving from Real Madrid for Mohammed Salah’s signature, Jurgen Klopp must avoid selling the lively Egyptian striker, who has a bright future ahead of him at Anfield Stadium.
