‘We Want To See Him Play’ – Chelsea Fans Want To See Youngster In The Main Squad

Having won Chelsea’s academy player of the season, Reece James seems to be the latest fans’ favorite as they are calling for his inclusion to the first-team squad ahead of next season.

The youngster has been in fine form for the young Blues side this season and that seems to be the reason for fans’ unending calls on the next manager to give the youngster the chance to lay claim for a place in the first-team.

James was the captain for the young Chelsea team that won this season FA youth cup after beating Arsenal in the final of the competition.

Apart from his leadership trait, James is a very talented and versatile player who can comfortably operate as a centre-back, right-back or right wing-back depending on manager’s tactical approach to games.

The Chelsea faithful believe he can give some first-team defenders — including Victor Moses, Gary Cahill, Zappacosta and Antonio Rudiger — a run for their money if given the chance to do so in the upcoming season.

In a mini poll conducted by footballfancast via their Twitter account, 96% of Chelsea fans want to see the 20-year-old in the main squad next term.

Meanwhile, Conte is unlikely to save his Chelsea job, even if he defeats Manchester United in tomorrow’s FA Cup final match. The Blues board of directors are determined to part way with the Italian manager as they are in desperate search for his replacement.

Why Sarri was called shit by Burnley backroom team

Maurizio Sarri

It has been revealed that West London outfit Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri was called “shit” by a member of the Burnley backroom team when the two sides clashed in the English Premier League tie on Monday night.

Both teams played a 2-2 draw and it was no doubt a disappointment to the Blues boss who had expected to further establish himself into the race for a top-four finish.

However, Chelsea assistant coach Gianfranco Zola has hinted that the club could go ahead to report the incident to the FA for necessary actions to be taken on the matter.

It would be recalled that the Blues boss was sent off after leaving his technical zone as he attempted to talk to his players at the touchline.

Zola hinted that the Italian boss has been offended and he was unhappy as he defended his boss for not turning up for the match conference after the game.

The game had ended in a thick atmosphere with players of both teams and officials looking very angry as they left the pitch.

A win for the Blues would have helped them push for a top-four finish especially after Man United, Arsenal and Tottenham lost their games.

Europa League: Why Frankfurt have got an advantage over Chelsea

Timothy Aiyeku

Published

There are suggestions that German Bundesliga outfit Eintracht Frankfurt have been handed a major advantage ahead of their Europa League semi-final game against West London outfit Chelsea by next month.

This is after it is claimed that the Bundesliga have shifted a game from the penultimate round of fixtures to help Eintracht Frankfurt have a better rest and prepare well against the Blues team.

The German Bundesliga outfit are currently sitting fourth in the Bundesliga table and have got three games left to end the season which means they are likely to return to the Champions League if they retain the spot but there is a bid to have them reach the finals to stand the chance of playing in the finals.

However, it is expected to serve as a major boost to the Bundesliga side and to keep them in a better position to play in the finals of the competition later in May.

Meanwhile, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has advocated for this kind of treatment from the English Premier League but that has not happened yet, knowing that the opportunity was handed to Ajax and it helped them with their Champions League wins against Real Madrid and Juventus respectively.

Luka Jovic

West London outfit have got a major challenge this season as they battle with the lack of cutting edge in their attack and that has contributed to their set back this season.

Manager Maurizio Sarri had Olivier Giroud and Alvaro Morata to boast of in the attack from the start of the season but there was obviously no gain and that was why he brought in Argentina international Gonzalo Higuain to help the team in the last January winter transfer window and the story is still unchanged.

More so, the France international striker has threatened to leave the club owing to his lack of playing time but the Italian manager has insisted that he has been given enough time and will be asked to remain at the club ahead of the coming season.

However, the West London outfit have been asked to consider the signature of German Bundesliga outfit Eintracht Frankfurt striker Luka Jovic as soon as the summer transfer window is reopened.

So far this season Luka Jovic has scored 8 goals in the Europa League and the Blues team will have a taste of him when they meet in the semi-final of the tournament next month.

Luka Jovic has shown that he is a goal scorer and a strong player who has all it takes to play in English Premier League.

Chelsea to get 9-point deduction?

raheem sterling

Man City star player Raheem Sterling has advocated for the West London outfit Chelsea to hand a 9-point deduction after they were found guilty of racial abuse which was carried out by their fans.

Raheem Sterling was a victim of the racial abuse this season and he seems yet to be over it after his latest reaction to the incident.

The star player went ahead to write a thought-provoking article on the scourge of racism in football in a bid to discourage the barbaric act from fans.

The star player suffered the abuse when he played for the England national team against Montenegro as he was subjected to annoying monkey noises.

However, Raheem Sterling has questioned the English press on how they have handled the issue of racism in their reporting as he feels that they have not done enough to ensure the act comes to an end in the round leather game.

He therefore advocates that clubs found wanting should have their points deducted as it would go a long way in helping to curb it especially if they fall outside the top-four or slip to the relegation zone as a result of the punishment from the FA.

Why Chelsea have won in an attempt to keep Hudson-Odoi

Callum Hudson-Odoi

West London outfit Chelsea seems to have won in their bid to keep England international midfielder Callum Hudon-Odoi ahead of the coming season.

It was earlier feared that Callum Hudon-Odoi will leave the club at the end of the season as he is already being linked away, after insisting that he will not sign a new deal with the club.

German Bundesliga outfit Bayern Munich were keen on the signature of the star player but a deal did not work out as the West London outfit rejected three different bids that were submitted for Callum Hudon-Odoi.

However, after the 18-year-old impressed with the England senior national team, manager Maurizio Sarri saw reason to hand him more playing time and that seems to be working for the club.

Meanwhile, Callum Hudon-Odoi has now ruptured his Achilles tendon in the 2-2 draw with Burnley at Stamford Bridge and that is suggested to help calm the player to remain.

More so, the Blues team are already considering to offer Callum Hudson-Odoi a new deal that will have him earn about £100,000 weekly wage as a way of keeping faith in his ability despite the injury.

Suggestions are therefore, that the Blues team have won in the race to keep Callum Hudson-Odoi as a result of all of these developments

Sarri gives the biggest shock in Champions League claim

Timothy Aiyeku

sarri

There are already insinuations that West London outfit Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri does not give a damn about qualification to the Champions League next season after a claim attributed to him.

The Italian boss has always been confirmed with the issue of securing qualification to the Champions League and that seems to be pissing him up as he claimed that there is no big deal about playing in the European biggest competition.

According to Maurizio Sarri, the Champions League is being overrated by journalists as they keep talking about it.

He noted that his major aim is playing good football and winning the English Premier League title as well as the Europa League, stressing that the attention must not all be on the Champions League, adding that people give the competition too much importance

However, Maurizio Sarri is still keen to have his team finish in the top-four as he noted that he has his attention on the remaining Premier League games which he claimed would be very difficult.

Meanwhile, the mandate given to the former Napoli boss is to secure qualification to the Champions League ahead of the coming season and that is yet to be done with competition from Arsenal, Tottenham and Man United.

Nice president challenges Sarri for Giroud

Timothy Aiyeku

French Ligue 1 outfit Nice president Gauthier Ganaye has challenged Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri over the future of Olivier Giroud at the Stamford Bridge.

Olivier Giroud has been linked away from the West London outfit over lack of playing time with reports claiming that he would be leaving as soon as the season is over.

However, manager Maurizio Sarri recently stated that an agreement has been reached between the club and the former Arsenal striker for him to remain at the club, insisting that Olivier Giroud will be at Chelsea next season.

This has been challenged by Nice president who claims that a move is possible because his club are already considering a move for the World Cup winner at the end of the season.

The Nice President noted that Olivier Giroud’s contract with the Blues is already expiring at the end of the season while no agreement has been reached. He added that his club are aware that his salary wills e huge but they are ready to meet with that.

However, Olivier Giroud has been criticized for not scoring goals for Chelsea as he has been blamed for the lack of cutting edge in the team but the club have insisted on keeping him ahead of coming season.

Sarri blasts Giroud, critics over playing time

Olivier Giroud

Manager Maurizio Sarri has replied France international striker Olivier Giroud for claims that he has not got enough playing time this season.

Olivier Giroud has been linked away from the West London outfit and the major complaint has been his lack of playing time as he insists that he is in his peak and has got the only opportunity to play regularly before age begins to tell on him.

However, Maurizio Sarri has refuted all claims, insisting that he has handed enough playing time to the former Arsenal striker. He explained that Olivier Giroud has played 39 games so far this season across all competitions, which to him is enough for a player who has not been delivering goals.

Most of the opportunities for a starting role given to the World Cup winner has come from Cup competitions and that has been his major concern as he seeks to play often in the Premier League.

Meanwhile, the Italian boss stated that the striker has been very useful to his team and will only hope to have him around in the coming season, having claimed that an agreement has been reached with the club to have him remain ahead of coming season.

Why Maurizio Sarri will not press for Europa League win, fans won’t like this

Timothy Aiyeku

Published

sarri

There is no doubt that West London outfit Chelsea fans will grow more furious with manager Maurizio Sarri especially after suggesting that he does not have to win the Europa League before securing qualification to the Champions League next season.

According to the Italian manager, a top-four finish can help solve the problem as well as meet the target, not minding if he goes through the season without a trophy.

The mandate given to Maurizio Sarri when he took the job after coming from Italian Serie A outfit Napoli was to return the club to the Champions League next season and that has been a very difficult task for him to carry out owing to the inconsistent performance of his team so far this season.

There are therefore suggestions that the target can be met by the former Napoli boss if he ends up winning the Europa League this season as they are currently in the semi-final but he seems to have his attention more on finishing in the top-four.

Maurizio Sarri’s team have been handed a big advantage after Tottenham, Man United and Arsenal all lost their weekend games. They will be hoping to make good use of it by winning all of their games left this season.

Why Chelsea can still finish top-four

Timothy Aiyeku

Published

on

There are suggestions that the West London outfit Chelsea can still finish in the top four of the English Premier League as they play their fixtures against Burnley later on Monday.

The Blues team are currently in the fifth position in the league table but they have a major advantage as Tottenham, Man United and Arsenal all lost their weekend games respectively.

At the moment, the Blues team have played 34 games and already have 66 points, same with fourth-placed Arsenal with a point below Tottenham who have also played 34 games both.

However, should the West London outfit win their 35th game against Burnley later on Monday, they will take two steps forward to land in the third position in the Premier League table ahead of Tottenham and Arsenal.

It is claimed that the Blues team could just continue from there to avoid any defeat again in the league and that could mean playing in the Champions League next season as all hope is not lost.

The manager Maurizio Sarri team is however not favourites to finish in the top four but the situation changed as soon as Tottenham, Arsenal and Man United all lost at the weekend.

However, a top-four finish could help Maurizio Sarri keep his job.
