Having finished sixth in the just concluded season, 37 points behind Manchester City, Arsenal fans want the team to spend big in the summer transfer window in order to get quality players who will help return the club back to the ‘class of 2004-05 season’
That seems not to be the case as there are report from the North London club that the club will only spend £50m on players before they make any fund from player’s sale and that hasn’t gone well with the club’s fans who took to Twitter to show their frustration.
According to the Gunners supporters via their respective Twitter accounts, Sven Mislintant — who is Arsenal’s sporting director — and next manager — believed to be Mikel Arteta — would need to be richly supported financially by the club’s board of directors if they must lay claim for the League title in the 2018-19 season.
The Gunners were given £142,042,073 by the Premier League officials in the just-concluded season and many would have thought that they would invest part of the cash on buying high-profile players ahead of next season.
In other Arsenal news, Sokratis is nearing a switch to the Emirates Stadium according to Sky Sport pundit Kaveh Solhekol, who reports that the Greek international is very close to completing Arsenal’s move in the summer.
“They’re saying that a deal is ‘very, very close’ he said.
