Liverpool target Wilfried Zaha could extend his contract with Crystal Palace in the summer to prevent his move to a new club ahead of next season.
The Ivorian is being tracked by top Premier League clubs, including Liverpool, due to his impressive and lively performance for the Eagles in the just-concluded season.
According to The Daily Mirror, Tottenham, Manchester City Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea and Everton are all interested in his signature but the Eagles are unwilling to sanction his move out of Selhurst Park this summer.
As a way to keep the 25-year-old attacker, Roy Hodgson has advised the club to offer him a new deal which will include an increment to his present £100k-a-week salary.
The British media further suggest that the proposed offer would make him the club’s highest earner ahead of Christian Benteke, who currently receives £120,000 as weekly wages.
Zaha is no doubt a player who would bring more attacking flair to any team he joins in the summer. His tricks and pace at the flank would be too handful for any defender to cope with.
Should he move to Liverpool in the summer, his addition will help the Reds build on the attacking successes they enjoyed throughout this season.
With Mane, Firmino and Salah; the 9-goal striker won’t be short of services to cause havoc to their opponents but Liverpool have a little chance of luring him to Anfield this summer.
