Liverpool narrowly made a top-four finish after a last-minute challenge from Chelsea for the fourth position.

The Reds were 4-0 winner over Brighton in the final match of the season while Chelsea were surprisingly thrashed by Newcastle with a 3-goal to perfectly ruined their chances of making next season’s Champions League competition.

Having qualified for next season’s Champions League play-off, the Reds are set to add more quality to their squad and they have officially made an approach to sign Bordeaux and Brazilian forward Malcom in the summer, according to reports.

The Brazilian enjoyed a breakthrough season with the Ligue 1 side and his performances have endeared him to many European powerhouses including Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham.

While reacting to his future and speculation linking him with a move to the Premier League, the Brazilian confess his desire to move out of Bordeaux.

He further revealed that he will be moving to a club where he would get the chance to play in next season’s Champions League.

“Like all players, I really want to play in the Champions League,” Malcom said in an interview with Canal Plus last Sunday.

With his comments, Arsenal are ultimately ruled out of the clubs vying for his signature having failed to finish among the top-four clubs in the League.

The chase is now between Liverpool and Tottenham, who are also considering making a move for his services as part of their desire to reduce being over-reliance on Harry Kane for goals in the upcoming season.

Eden Hazard wants to stay but this single fact is pushing him away

Eden Hazard

ESPN FC pundit and former West Ham United goalkeeper Shaka Hislop has revealed that Belgium international Eden Hazard might want to remain at the Stamford Bridge ahead of next season but he knows that this is the only time he has to make such a big move away and the last chance he has got.

Eden Hazard has been linked with moves away from the West London outfit with claims that he has already agreed on a move to join Spanish La Liga giants Real Madrid but the West London outfit are reluctant to let him leave especially now that they will not be able to sign any replacement as a result of the transfer ban.

The ESPN pundit has therefore stated that this is not the first time that Eden Hazard is being linked to Real Madrid but noted that each time he is supposed to move, the Blues win a trophy and that encourages him to leave.

He, therefore, noted that the Belgium international seems to have been frustrated at the Stamford Bridge for the past two seasons and will consider.

According to him, Eden Hazard is running out of age and he knows that if he doesn’t move in the coming summer window, he will not be able to move away for a big deal until the end of his career.

Revealed! What Klopp’s transfer wish for Coutinho is

Philippe Coutinho

Football consultant Ian McGary has hinted the stance of Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp on the transfer speculations of former player and Brazilian international Philippe Coutinho ahead of the coming summer transfer window.

The Brazilian international only left the Anfield in the January winter transfer window of 2018 and he seems to be tired of staying at the club and wants a move away.

It did not go as plan for Philippe Coutinho as he was unable to glory in the Barcelona team which is why he was relegated to bench roles and that cannot be copped with by the star player.

Philippe Coutinho is therefore reported to be linked with a move back to the Anfield while Man United are also reported to be keen to have him back to the Premier League as the Spanish giants seem to be willing to part ways with him.

The football consultant stated that there is no way manager Jurgen Klopp will have Philippe Coutinho back at the club because of his feeling that he already has a balanced team that can win trophies and compete.

However, this might just give a free run to Man United to capture him as long as they are ready to meet with the demands of the Spanish side.

Alberto Moreno

The Latest report have revealed the Merseyside outfit Liverpool defender Alberto Moreno has agreed on a move to the Spanish La Liga where he would be joining Barcelona at the end of the season.

There is no doubt that Alberto Moreno is having his last days at the Anfield as he is no longer considered as a major part of the team after dropping in the pecking order with manager Jurgen Klopp favouring Robertson ahead of him.

It was earlier claimed that the star player will be heading to the Italian Serie A outfit to join Lazio as he was reported to be in Rome at the start of the international break to finalize initial talks for a deal.

Alberto Moreno had made efforts to leave the Merseyside outfit in the last January winter transfer window but a deal failed to work through with the club insisting on his stay but there are suggestions that he would no longer be stopped from moving away.

It is, therefore, claimed that he is free to hold talks with potential suitors which has already been done with Barcelona as claimed. He is reported to have agreed on a two-year deal but the fee that would be paid to the Reds team remains unknown.

Liverpool star and Egyptian international Mohamed Salah has been declared missing for his country’s high profiled friendly game against Nigeria later on Tuesday.

Mohamed Salah is declared missing alongside other players including, Hegazi, El Mohamady as revealed by the country official Ehab Lehit.

The country’s FA managing director explained that the absence of the players is a decision by the coach to enable him to try new players as they seek to prepare their team for the coming AFCON competition later in the year.

However, this remains a good development for the Reds team and manager Jurgen Klopp as there is no doubt that Mohamed Salah will return to the club with some fresh legs and would have rested enough to continue the challenge for the Premier League title.

The Merseyside outfit are currently topping the league log with two points clear ahead of Man City but it is worthy to note that the Pep Guardiola side have also have a game at hand.

Meanwhile, the Reds team have not won a domestic league title in their club history for the past 25 years, hence they are looking forward to changing the narrative by winning it now that they have got the chance to.

How Chelsea can benefit from Giroud’s national team spark

Olivier Giroud

Chelsea fans saw a different Olivier Giroud for his France national team when he scored a goal to help his country go past Iceland by 4-0.

The former Arsenal striker has not been firing for the West London outfit which is the reason why he has been handed a limited playing time by manager Maurizio Sarri.

Olivier Giroud is already being linked away from the West London club as a result of his lack of playing time as he feels he deserves better despite the goal drought that has been experienced in his Blues jersey.

The same was seen of the striker at the 2018 FIFA World Cup where he was present in all of the games for the France team but failed to score a single goal.

However, a different Olivier Giroud was seen against Iceland as he scored a goal to make a name for himself as the 3rd highest goal scorer for the France national team.

He has now scored 35 goals behind Michel Platini who scored 41 and Thierry Henry who left the stage with 51 goals.

Suggestions are that this development for Olivier Giroud could help him return to the Stamford Bridge to provide the spark for the Sarri team so that they can push for a top-four finish as well as winning the Europa League title.

sadio mane

Senegal international and Liverpool star Sadio Mane has been told what he must do to be able to stand a chance to contest for the Ballon d’Or award.

There is no doubt about the quality of the Senegal international this season as he has delivered a number of goals for the manager Jurgen Klopp team to keep them at the top in the Premier League table and also qualify to the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

Sadio Mane took the place of Egyptian international Mohamed Salah in the goalscoring form and has delivered 11 goals in the last 11 games for Liverpool which makes him one of the best in the league at the moment.

However, former Reds midfielder Salif Diao said Sadio Mane has been at that level where he should be in the same league with world-class players as he is now scoring goals against what he was being criticized for.

The Senegalese therefore urged his fellow countryman to do more to win trophies as that is the only thing between him and a Ballon d’Or award.

He noted that Sadio Mane is on fire and this is the right time for him to make things work out for the club.

Eden Hazard

Belgium international and West London outfit Chelsea star Eden Hazard has been unwittingly told that he is no longer good for the Spanish La Liga outfit Real Madrid team anymore.

This is from a statement credited to the former Chelsea striker Chris Sutton who says that the Spanish giants should have their attention focused of Man City star Raheem Sterling and not Eden Hazard in the coming summer window.

It is no longer news that Real Madrid is keen on the signature of the Belgium star with claims that manager Zinedine Zidane has made a request for his signature despite the refusal of the West London outfit to part ways with him.

However, the former Chelsea striker has told Real Madrid that they can have a better quality with Raheem Sterling as he is currently firing for both his country and Man City at the club side.

The Chelsea legend stressed that Raheem Sterling is a world class player who has all the attribute needed at Real Madrid to succeed, explaining that he is a better player than the Belgium international.

Raheem Sterling has been praised for his movement, pass and goal scoring ability which has been helpful for Pep Guardiola in his push for second consecutive EPL title.

Alberto Moreno

Arsenal might have missed out on one of their transfer targets following the news that Liverpool defender Alberto Moreno is closing in on a move to Spanish La Liga champions Barcelona.

The news of his impending move to Barcelona was confirmed by Spanish news portal Sport.

It was revealed that the Spaniard will sign a contract with Barcelona in the coming weeks.

The Barcelona transfer is a welcomed move for Alberto Moreno who has endured a largely frustrating spell on Merseyside for the past two seasons following the emergence of Andy Robertson as the first choice left-back at the club.

Scottish national team skipper Robertson is now regarded as one of the best left-backs in the Premier League.

Alberto Moreno signed for Liverpool from Spanish club Sevilla in the summer of 2014 shortly after he led the Spaniards to the first of their three successive Europa League titles.

He was the first choice left-back at the club until the aforementioned Robertson joined Liverpool at the start of last season shortly after suffering relegation with Hull City.

Moreno, 26, has a few months left on his Liverpool contract at the moment and he’s free to move as a free agent upon the expiration of his contract with the Reds.
