Liverpool officially made an approach to sign prolific goal poacher

Liverpool narrowly made a top-four finish after a last-minute challenge from Chelsea for the fourth position.

The Reds were 4-0 winner over Brighton in the final match of the season while Chelsea were surprisingly thrashed by Newcastle with a 3-goal to perfectly ruined their chances of making next season’s Champions League competition.

Having qualified for next season’s Champions League play-off, the Reds are set to add more quality to their squad and they have officially made an approach to sign Bordeaux and Brazilian forward Malcom in the summer, according to reports.

The Brazilian enjoyed a breakthrough season with the Ligue 1 side and his performances have endeared him to many European powerhouses including Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham.

While reacting to his future and speculation linking him with a move to the Premier League, the Brazilian confess his desire to move out of Bordeaux.

He further revealed that he will be moving to a club where he would get the chance to play in next season’s Champions League.

“Like all players, I really want to play in the Champions League,” Malcom said in an interview with Canal Plus last Sunday.

With his comments, Arsenal are ultimately ruled out of the clubs vying for his signature having failed to finish among the top-four clubs in the League.

The chase is now between Liverpool and Tottenham, who are also considering making a move for his services as part of their desire to reduce being over-reliance on Harry Kane for goals in the upcoming season.
