Chelsea want-away striker Alvaro Morata could be heading out of Stamford Bridge in the summer should the Blues hire Maurizio Sarri, according to reports.
Maurizio Sarri is being tipped as the next Chelsea coach as he is presently ahead of Luis Enrique and Carlo Ancelotti in the race for the job. The Napoli manager has been a great tactician with the Naples this season, helping them to a second-place finish.
With his exploits for the Serie A side, Abramovich is convinced he would bring the best out of his players, should he move to Stamford Bridge during the summer transfer window.
Though he hasn’t been officially confirmed as the Blues boss, Sarri has reportedly begun his transfer plans for the West London Club. According to Daily Star, the Italian is keen on selling Alvaro Morata in the summer.
The Spaniard has recorded one of his poorest seasons in his career in the just concluded season in which he scored just 13 goals in all competitions.
The British publication further claims that Sarri is hoping to lure Argentine striker Gonzalo Higuain to Stamford Bridge as Morata’s replacement.
Higuain was one of the standout players in Maximiliano Allegri’s team this season but he is reportedly set for a new adventure in the Premier League next season and Sarri is set to compete with Arsenal for his services. The 136-goal hero will definitely be a hit for the Blues considering his wealth of experience.
