Arsenal are presently preparing the list of players they would love to acquire in the summer despite being unable to sign a new manager yet.
Wenger has officially left the Emirates stadium after seeing his side to a 1-0 victory over Huddersfield earlier today in the club’s last match of the season.
With Wenger out of Arsenal’s managerial position for the first time in 22 years, the Gunners are still looking for who would be able to step into the Frenchman’s ‘big’ shoe.
Luis Enrique, Massimiliano Allegri, Carlo Ancelotti, Mikel Arteta, former Arsenal player, and Maurizio Sarri have all been linked with the Gunners coaching job in the summer.
Apart from looking for their next manager, the Gunners are also searching for quality defenders who can comfortably operate in any position at the back of the pitch.
The Express Sport are reporting that the Gunners have tabled a £53m deal for Senegal international Kalidou Koulibaly, who is being tracked by Chelsea. The 26-year-old has been in fine form for Napoli this season but he could be moving to Arsenal, who have conceded 51 goals all through the season, as part of their overhauling process ahead of the 2018-19 season.
Meanwhile, Juventus are also in the race for the Senegalese defender due to his exploits for the Maurizio Sarri’s side.
His agent has also refused to rule out the player’s possibility of moving to the Turin-based club next summer.
“Kalidou at Juve? He’s at a level where he could play anywhere.” he said to Newsmen last week
