Chelsea are presently in a great dilemma over who to hire as Conte’s replacement in the summer. The decision to part way with Conte was agreed upon by the Blues board of directors according to reports.
It’s believed that the cold relationship between Eden Hazard and Conte played a major role in Abramovich’s decision over the Italian manager as he didn’t want to risk losing the Belgian soon.
Just as Hazard’s future played a great role in Conte’s proposed contract termination, the player’s welfare is also set to take centre stage in the club’s decision on who should step in as Conte’s replacement, as claimed by the Telegraph.
It is believed that Napoli boss Maurizio Sarri might be hired by the Blues in the summer but there could be a change of plans depending on Hazard’s verdict about the reported incoming manager.
Should Hazard wants Sarri as the next manager, the club’s hierarchy will surely reach an agreement with him before the start of next season.
Due to Madrid’s persistent interest in the playmaker, Chelsea are willing to offer him a £300,000-a-week contract which will tie him to the club for another four years.
Real Madrid are believed to be eyeing a possible move for his service next season according to reports but they haven’t made any official approach yet.
With Chelsea’s unsure of qualifying for next season’s Champions League, Hazard could be forced to join the Los Blancos in the summer.
