Colombian defender, Yerry Mina is reportedly set for a move to Merseyside next summer.
The young defender has been on the fringes of Barcelona first team squad which recently secured the La liga title and it is said Barca boss Ernesto Valverde has deemed Mina surplus to requirements.
And according to reports on Colombian tv, well- known journalist Ignacio Miguelez has suggested a move to the Reds is imminent for Yima, albeit on loan.
”There is a player who has already closed his future for next year and it is Yerry Mina, the Colombian will play on loan at Liverpool.”Miguelez stated.
Meanwhile, Spanish outlet Diaro Gol also came up with a headline ”i’m going to Liverpool with the outlet claiming Mina said that statement to his colleagues.
The Reds defending has appeared unconvincing at times, despite the record signing Of Virgil Van Dijk from Southampton in January and the potential signing of Yima could prove a pivotal boost.
The South American Star has won numerous accolades in his native Colombian league, prior to eventual switch to the Catalan Giants for 11.8m in January.
