Chelsea are desperate in their bid to sign Real Madrid striker Marco Asensio this summer. The youngster has been a fringe player in Zinedine Zidane’s team this season and he is reportedly set to move out of Santiago Bernabeu in the summer.

The Blues were linked with his signature last winter but nothing materialize between both clubs. They are reportedly ready to reignite their interest in the Spaniard this summer but this time, in a more desperate way.

According to Don Balon, desperate Roman Abramovich has ordered his board of directors to do everything possible to acquire the youngster’s signature in the summer, even if it cost them losing N’Golo Kante.

Despite Kante’s stellar performances for Chelsea this season, Abramovich is willing to offer him in a swap deal which would see Asensio move to the Stamford Bridge before the start of next season.

The Chelsea millionaire is ready to make wholesome changes to his team ahead of next season, and according to Don Balon, he wants to build it round Asensio.

With Marco Asensio as a center-forward, Hazard and Willian at the right and left flanks respectively, Chelsea are surely going to mount pressure on City for the title next season.

Meanwhile, Chelsea fans will be very sad with Abramovich’s decision to let go of N’Golo Kante, considering how solid he’s been since he joined the team from Leicester City, last summer.
