Liverpool could confirm the signing of Real Madrid midfielder Lucas Vazquez soon according to reports.
The 26-year-old has been a longtime target for Jurgen Klopp, who has so much love for the Spanish international, and he could be getting him as soon as the coming summer window after the player reportedly admits he is preparing for Liverpool move.
According to Spanish media outlet Don Balon, the versatile player — who can comfortably play as an attacking or holding midfielder— has told his compatriot and Madrid captain Sergio Ramos that he would be moving to the Premier League with Liverpool tipped to be his next destination.
The reports also suggest that Madrid president Florentino Perez could sell out their first-choice goaltender Kaylor Navas to Liverpool as he hopes to create space for Manchester United goalie David De Gea, who is reportedly set to make his long-awaited switch to Santiago Bernabeu.
Though Loris Karius looks destined for greatness with the Reds, Jurgen Klopp could be forced to strike a deal with the European Champions for Costa Rica international in the summer as Simon Mignolet seems to be leaving the Anfield stadium before the start of next season.
It is believed that the Merseyside club want to add Lukas Vazquez to their squad for next season but with last night’s reports which suggested that the Reds have reached an agreement with Lyon for Nabil Fekir, it remains unknown if they would still push through with their plan to capture the eight-goal midfielder.
Both clubs will face themselves on the 26th of this month in this season’s Uefa Champions League Final. Madrid would be hoping to win it for the third time consecutively while the Reds would be hoping to win the trophy for the first time since 2004.
