Chelsea set to recall talented french midfielder from Celtic

The Blues are ready to recall Charles Musonda from a torrid loan spell at Celtic according to reports.

The young prospect amidst interest from other clubs agreed to join the Scottish champions on a loan spell last term, after impressive displays since making his first-team debut in the loss to Arsenal prior to the beginning of this campaign.

The France under-21 star has however endured a turbulent time in Scotland and has struggled to feature in the starting line up from the onset as Brendan Rodgers’s men maintained their unrivalled dominance of the Scottish league.

Reports now claim Parent club, Chelsea are unhappy over teenager’s situation and are ready to terminate the deal and bring him back to Stamford Bridge.

Musonda is currently undergoing treatment at the Chelsea’s Cobham training centre, after suffering a shoulder injury and it is increasingly unlikely the highly rated prodigy will feature in Celtic’s remaining games of the campaign.

The Blues currently have as much as 42 players out on loan with different clubs and will seek to monitor each players development amid a potential overhaul of the current first team squad.

Red Bull Salzburg striker Erling Haaland is on a four-man transfer shortlist at Real Madrid according to Spanish media outlet El Desmarque.

Erling Haaland is a top transfer target for fallen Premier League giants Manchester United after his influential start to the current season in the colours of Austrian champions Red Bull Salzburg.

The 19-year-old striker has seven goals in the Champions League which is more than any other player has scored in the competition this season.

In total, Erling Haaland has found the back of the net 26 times in 18 games for Red Bull Salzburg this term.

Apart from Manchester United and Real Madrid, major European teams like Napoli, Barcelona, Arsenal and RB Leipzig are also keen on the signature of the Norwegian international.

The other three players on the aforementioned four-man transfer shortlist are Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi, Villarreal winger Samuel Chukwueze and Everton striker Moise Kean.

Callum Hudson-Odoi recently came back from a lengthy injury layoff and has signed a five-year Chelsea contract until 2024 but that has not stopped the interest of Real Madrid in the England international.

Chelsea Target Could Leave Napoli For Free, Agent Reveals

The agent of Napoli defender Elseid Hysaj has revealed that his client could leave the Italian Serie A club on a free transfer.

Mario Giuffredi made this known during an interview with Radio Punto Nuovo as he revealed that Napoli could have gotten €50m for his transfer last summer when Premier League giants Chelsea were on his trail.

Albanian international right-back Elseid Hysaj was expected to join Chelsea from Napoli last summer when Maurizio Sarri became the Blues boss but the move didn’t happen.

Elseid Hysaj has less than a year left on his Napoli contract at the moment meaning that the 25-year-old could leave the club for free if he’s not sold during the upcoming winter transfer window.

He has been restricted to just four Serie A appearances this season mainly due to fitness and injury problems.

Elseid Hysaj has made over 175 appearances for Napoli since joining them from fellow Italian club Empoli in 2016.

He worked with Maurizio Sarri at Empoli before the Italian tactician was appointed the Napoli manager in 2015.

Elseid Hysaj teamed up with Sarri at Napoli one year later and the same thing was expected at Chelsea when the Italian manager was named the Blues boss.

According to media outlet 90min, Manchester City have lost patience with French World Cup winner Benjamin Mendy and they are targeting Ben Chilwell as his replacement.

Benjamin Mendy has struggled for fitness for the majority of his time at Manchester City since his move from French Ligue 1 club AS Monaco.

Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi was linked with a transfer to German champions Bayern Munich at the start of the year before he made the decision to stay and sign a new deal at Stamford Bridge.

Italian Serie A outfit Inter Milan are plotting a January transfer for Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud who has found playing time hard to come by since Frank Lampard was appointed the Blues’ manager this summer.

According to the Daily Express, Inter Milan manager, Antonio Conte wants to sign Giroud when the transfer market is opened again in January for a knockdown fee of around £6m.

Olivier Giroud has a little over six months left on his contract at Chelsea and the French World Cup winner is not ready to wait for his contract to run down next summer.

Forgotten Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud scored the winning goal for world champions France as they came from behind to beat Moldova and usurp Turkey at the top of Group H of the Euro 2020 qualifiers.

France suffered a little scare at home against the Moldovans but Chelsea outcast Giroud was able to bail his team out of that situation.

Vadim Rata had given Moldova a shock lead in the ninth minute after he pounced on the weak clearance from Barcelona center-back Clement Lenglet.

France had a lot of possession but struggled to break down the visitors until stand-in captain Raphael Varane equalised for the hosts just before the halftime whistle.

Shortly before the game, France had found out about their qualification for Euro 2020 as a result of the goalless draw between hosts Turkey and France.

Despite their qualification news, France struggled to produce a performance worthy of a team that just secured a berth at Euro 2020.

France improved a bit after the halftime interval but had to wait till 11 minutes from time to bag the winner through Giroud who scored from the penalty spot after Everton left-back Lucas Digne was brought down in the box.

The win moved France two points clear at the top of Group H.
