According to the Mirror, Arsenal are reportedly the favorite club to sign Norwich midfielder James Maddison in the summer despite interest from the likes of Manchester City, Everton and Tottenham.
The England international midfielder has been a consistent performer for the Championship side throughout the campaign and that has been the main reason why he’s one of the most sought-after midfielder in the country’s second-tier League.
The 21-year-old is in top goalscoring form for the Yellow Canaries, netting 15 times and assisting 11 times to ensure that his team avoid being relegated to the lower division next season.
Though the youngster recently penned a four-year contract with the club last season which would keep him till 2021, he is being tipped by pundits and reporters to make a huge-money switch to the North London club in the summer.
According to reports emanating from Norwich’s training ground, Maddison is said to cost nothing less than £25m due to the release clause in his contract but it remains unknown if the Gunners would want to pay such huge price for his signature.
However, Manchester City, Everton and Tottenham haven’t given up in their race to capture the player in the summer and they are all reportedly set to overtake Arsenal.
