Izmi- based newspaper Yeni Asir are claiming that Altionrdu forward Baris Alici is being tracked by Arsenal and they are hoping to make a shock move for the youngster in the summer transfer window.
The young winger is one of the best products from Altionrdu academy and he has been in awesome form throughout this season. It should be also recalled that Cengiz Under and Caglar Soyuncu — who is also one of Arsenal’s targets — both graduated from the Altionrdu’s youth setup during their time with the Turkish club.
According to Yeni Asir, Altionrdu’s president Seyit Ozkan is set to embark on a journey to the North London club to have a round-table discussion with the Gunners over the possibility of selling Alici in the summer.
Alici is an exciting young winger who currently ply his trade in the Turkish second-tier league, he has featured for the team in 32 matches, scoring 10 goals in the process so far this campaign.
Though the 20-year-old still has a contract that runs till 2020, Seyit is hoping he could reach an agreement with Arsenal in the coming weeks.
Arsenal are believed to be making some changes to their squad ahead of next season and they have set their eyes on the youngster base on his tricky skills and blistering pace down the left flank.
Meanwhile, the Gunners are also in the race to sign Manchester United striker Anthony Martial, who is reportedly unhappy with the turn of things at Old Trafford.
Only time would tell whether Mourinho would let go of the Frenchman to the Emirates stadium, considering the rivalry between both clubs.
