Former Liverpool’s attacking midfielder Philippe Coutinho is reportedly hoping to reunite with his former Liverpool teammate Emre Can in the summer as he has called on
Barcelona to ensure they snatch the German international from Anfield stadium ahead of Juventus, who are known to be his longtime admirer.
Emre Can is presently in the last month of his contract with the Reds and he is not ready to extend his stay at the Merseyside, therefore, he could join any club of his choice in the upcoming transaction period.
Apart from Juventus, who had shown their interest in the 24-year-old player since last winter, Barcelona are now set to join the race for his services as the Catalans hope to find a perfect replacement for Javier Mascherano, who would be leaving Camp Nou by the end of the season.
According to Don Balon, Coutinho believes the German is the ideal player to replace the Argentine midfielder, considering his exploits for the Reds throughout the season.
Having seen Samper struggled to make an impact at Camp Nou, Valverde could consider Coutinho’s advise by making an official approach to the player’s representative when the summer transfer window begins in few weeks time.
In other Liverpool transfer news, Mohammed Salah has reportedly agreed to join Real Madrid and according to Diario Gol, the Egyptian will put on jersey number 11 which would be vacated by Gareth Bale in the summer.
