Leicester City midfielder Riyad Mahrez is desperately seeking a move out of King Power stadium this summer and he has reportedly chosen to move to the Emirates stadium ahead of Manchester City and Chelsea who have been thriving to seal a deal for his signature since 2015.
The Algerian is no doubt one of the best midfielders in the League so far since their shocking run to the Premier League title during the 2015-16 season but his performances this season hasn’t been too great.
It should be recalled that the 27-year-old almost force a move to the Etihad Stadium during the winter transfer market when he officially submitted a transfer request form to the Foxes board of directors but his request was turned down as they weren’t ready to part way with their in-form player.
Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City are believed to be monitoring his situation at the King Power stadium and they are ready to launch a contract offer for the 2015-16 PFA player of the year when the summer transfer window begins.
According to Daily Star and The Express, Leicester City have placed a £80m price tag on his head and it remains unknown if Arsenal or Chelsea would be willing to spend that much on the player, considering how less they spend during transfer periods.
The Gunners are presently leading the race for his signature according to Daily Star as they hope to improve their attacking abilities in the upcoming season.
Mahrez can play as a left winger; playmaker and sometimes as a right-winger. He will surely be a good addition to the Gunners squad who desperately need a versatile and creative playmaker just like Mahrez.
