Chelsea youngester Charly Musonda could make a shock return to Stamford Bridge after failing to impress with Celtic, where he’s being sent on a loan move before the start of the season.
Though the Hoops are confirmed as the league Champions once again this season, Musonda plays little role in their run to the trophy as he could only manage to get just three starts for the Scottish Champions.
It was Chelsea’s dream to see the young winger play week-in, week-out this season but they are presently disappointed with how things have turned out for him under Brendan Rodgers’ tutelage and they are set to cut short their initial agreement with Celtic by the end of the season
Musonda strike an 18-month loan deal with Celtic during the winter transfer market and he is expected to remain at the club till the end of next season but according to Daily Record, he could be seen in Chelsea’s pre-season squad later in the year.
With new manager set to take over from Antonio Conte in the summer, the Belgian youngester might be kept at Stamford Bridge next season, considering how highly he is being rated by the Blues board of directors and even the fans.
Should he perform brilliantly during the upcoming pre-season tour in which the Blues are expected to play Manchester City and Real Madrid, then Musonda might just be given the chance to compete with Willian and Pedro for a place at either flank of the team’s attack.
