Chelsea are believed to eyeing a possible move for another striker in the person of Atalanta forward Musa Barrow, whom they have sent their squad to keep monitoring his progress until the summer transfer window commences, according to Football Italia.
The 19-year-old is known for his extraordinary goalscoring record in Primavera as he has scored 23 goals in just 18 matches since promoting from the Oribici youth set-up late last year.
The Gambian international has been directly involved in four goals in the last four matches played by Atanlata and that has endeared him to numerous clubs in Europe including Chelsea who are hoping to sign him as a replacement for Alvaro Morata.
Another Italian-based media outlet Gazzamercato claims that the youngster is set to create a transfer tug-of-war between Inter, Juventus and Borussia Dortmund. The report also suggests that Chelsea scouts are going to be among the stands when Atanlata battle Lazio on Sunday so as to draw their final conclusions about his performance.
The Blues will need to release around €25-30m if they must beat other suitors to the player’s signature in the summer.
