Arsenal are a step away from signing a quality defender in person of Freiburg full-back Caglar Soyuncub, who is being tracked by the Gunners since the last winter transfer window.
According to the Altinordu president Seyit Mehmet Ozkan while reacting to the defender’s future with the Bundesliga side in an event, the Gunners are close to luring the Turkish international to the Emirates stadium. He claimed that Arsenal have made an official offer for the player and Freiburg are contended with the financial status in the contract and they are willing to let him go in the summer.
The 21-year-old old has been phenomenal for the relegation-threatened side and that is the main reason behind Arsenal’s constant knock on Freiburg’s door for the player’s signature.
Meanwhile, the Gunners are facing an uphill task to retain Spanish international left-back Hector Bellerin beyond this season as there are numerous suitors who are reportedly waiting to make an official approach for his signature by the close of the season.
Manchester United, Barcelona, and Juventus are all vying for the 24-year-old’s service as they all hope to rebuild their respective club in the summer.
With Luke Shaw set to leave Old Trafford, it is necessary that Mourinho finds a replacement for the Englishman and he believes that Bellerin will do well at Old Trafford.
