Antonio Conte was hired by the Blues in 2016 as Mourinho’s replacement and the Italian manager wasted no time in turning an eight-placed team to a title-winning team.
The way in which he transformed the Blues was magical and that made him the fans favourite leading into this season and they were hoping to see a much better side in the mission to defend their title.
Things didn’t go as planned for Conte and he is at the point of losing his job by the end of this season according to Daily Mail.
As a way to replace the manager, Chelsea have been linked with many managers, who would be out of contract with their respective clubs by the end of the season, over the possibility of switching to the Blues in the summer.
Though the search for a new manager continues, Chelsea fans seem to have found a perfect manager in the person of Jody Morris who led the club’s U18 team to their fifth back-to-back youth FA Cup trophy last Monday against Arsenal.
Over on Twitter, Chelsea fans believe the young manager has all it takes to lead the club’s first team to a new and greater height in the upcoming season.
Here are some of the reactions from Chelsea fans on Twitter :
OnlyCFC(@OnlyCfc101) advised Chelsea to imitate Barcelona’s policy by giving Jody the chance to lead the team in the upcoming season and see how things turn out to be.
Richard lavender (@Lavender901) called on Chelsea board of directors to stop chasing managers around, urging them to turn to Jody’s impressive performances with the youth team.
According to Evan McMurtrie (@EvanMcMurtrie), it is high time to give Jody the chance to lead the team while he promotes some academy products to the senior squad, next season
