Juventus’s left Alex Sandro is reportedly a target by Mourinho to shore up his defensive options at Old Trafford.

According to the Manchester evening news, United’s manager Jose Mourinho has reportedly earmarked Alex Sandro as a suitable replacement for Luke Shaw.

The 27- year- old has been a consistent performer for Juventus, since his arrival from Porto in 2015 and has won the Serie A and Coppa Italian twice in each of his full two seasons at Turin.

22- year- old Luke Shaw, has struggled to nail down a place in the starting Xi and is all set for an imminent departure, with the report suggesting Mourinho would be willing to accept bids for the left back amid an acrimonious fall out over the Englishman’s unimpressive performances.

The reports also state that Sandro could arrive in a cash plus player swap deal that will involve Matteo Darmian moving the opposite direction as Mourinho looks to overhaul his squad.

Dutch defender Daley Blind is also set for the exit door while maligned midfielder Marouane Fellaini is engaged in an embittered battle with the club over contractual terms
