Chelsea are ready to let go of their influential France international N’Golo Kante to Paris Saint-Germain for £88million in the summer.
The former Leicester City midfielder’s agent is currently having a concrete negotiation with the Ligue 1 giants representative over a possible move to the Parc Des Princes stadium in the summer.
The Frenchman joined the Blues after helping the Foxes to a record-breaking Premier league in 2016 and has since been in fine form, winning the PFA player of the year as they were crowned the league Champions.
Though Antonio Conte’s men recorded one of their worst seasons in recent times, Kante remains solid in the middle of the park for the Blues and that has endeared him to the Ligue 1 Champions.
It was earlier reported last night that PSG frontman Kylian Mbappe is hoping that Kante would reunite with him in the upcoming season but that is the hands of the Blues hierarchy if they would love to part way with the player.
According to RMC, PSG have been monitoring the player’s signature since 2016 hoping to sign him but they were not fast enough in reaching an agreement with the player’s agent, thereby losing him to the Blues.
Meanwhile, PSG have announced Unai Emery’s departure by the end of the season despite leading the team to another championship glory. His sacking could be traced to his inability to qualify the team to Champions League semi-final round considering how much they spent to reinforced the team last summer.
