Chelsea claimed their fifth FA Youth Cup in a row by thrashing Arsenal 7-1 on aggregate. The young Blues conceded the first goal in the first leg of the encounter before they turned the table around by defeating the Gunners 3-1 after the first leg tie at Stamford Bridge.
The return leg was played at the Emirates stadium and the Blues started from where they stopped as they broke the deadlock in just 10 minutes when Billy Gilmour slot home from close range to give the young lads a 4-1 aggregate win.
The young Gunners did all they could to equalize but all their efforts were all abortive as they remain a goal down going into the half-time break.
Chelsea put three past their opponents in the second half of the game to bring the scoreline to 7-1 on aggregate. Calum Hudson-Odoi scored a brace while Tino Anjorin finished the scoring for the Blues.
Though all Chelsea players were lively during the encounter, there was one player who caught fans’ attention and they have called on Antonio Conte or any incoming manager to integrate the youngster into the club’s first-team squad in the summer.
The Blues faithful took to Twitter to call for the 17-year-old’s inclusion in the club’s pre-season tour. Chelsea fans could fail to get what they are clamouring for due to the player’s tender age.
It should be recalled that Conte speaks about the youngster last January when he revealed that Hudson was too young to be integrated into the first-team setup
