Former Premier League Champions Chelsea are currently regretting their decision to let go of their former players – Mohammed Salah and Kelvin Debruyne- considering how both players have lighted the league with explosive performances for their respective clubs.
Mo Salah, as he is fondly called has been a revelation for the Reds, equalling the club’s scoring record in a single season and he has been voted the Premier League player of the season ahead of his former teammate Debruyne.
As for Debruyne, the rejuvenated Belgian midfielder is one of City’s best performers in their run to the league trophy this season. His long-range passes were second to none while is long-range shots were too hot for goalkeepers to parry, as long as they hit the target.
Having seen how they’ve performed after leaving the Stamford Bridge stadium, Chelsea fans have called on their club not to repeat the same error by letting go of their fast-rising midfielder Mason Mount in the summer.
The 19-year-old midfielder is presently on a loan deal at Eredivisie side Vitesse, where he’s in top form of his career. After 28 matches, the youngster has found the back of the net in eight times and also making eight assists for his teammates.
His impressive displays hasn’t gone unnoticed by the Eredivisie boards as he was named the League’s player of the season last week and he is also being tracked by numerous clubs including Ajax, PSV, Sporting Lisbon, Werder Bremen and other Premier League clubs.
The fans advised Roman Abramovich to allow the youngster remains under Chelsea’s book even if he will need to be loaned out to another club in the coming season to continue his steady development.
