Arsenal are surely set to replace their longest-serving manager Arsene Wenger in the summer after the Frenchman gave an official statement about his future last week.
The Gunners have performed below expectations this season and they will be hoping that their next manager will help in building a formidable team who can compete with top European teams in the world for trophies.
Though it is yet unknown who would be hired as the Gunners boss in the summer, it is certain that some players would be shown the club’s exit door before the start of the 2018-19 season.
As for the Gunners supporters, players like Alex Iwobi, Shkodran Mustafi, Petr Cech, Danny Welbeck and Jack Wilshere should see their contracts terminated by the end of the season due to their unimpressive performances throughout the outgoing season while Lacazette, Ozil and injured Mohammed Elneny should be retained.
Petr Cech, who is among the players wanted out of the club by fans, could be on his way out of the Emirates stadium as Arsenal are reportedly eyeing a swoop for Bayern Leverkusen’s goalkeeper Bernd Leno.
The 26-year-old Germany international hasn’t seen much first-team actions for the Bundesliga side this season and he is considering moving out of the club in the summer.
According to Bild, Arsenal are believed to be leading the chase after the 230-capped goalie despite interest from Napoli and Atletico Madrid.
Should Arsenal eventually emerge as the winner for the 17.5m-rated netminder, that could prove to be the end of David Ospina ‘s stay at the Emirates stadium as he wouldn’t want to be a third-choice keeper in the upcoming season.
