Ousmane Dembele

Arsenal have reportedly been boosted in their race to snatch France international Ousmane Dembele from Barcelona after reports suggest that the Catalans are ready to offer him in a swap deal which will witness Hector Bellerin’s move to Camp Nou in the summer.

As one of the best youngsters in the world during his time at the Wesftaladion stadium, prior to his switch to the La Liga runaway leaders, many fans and pundits were hoping he would become a better winger as would rub shoulders with one of the best footballers in the world – Lionel Messi, but that hasn’t been the case for the youngster who has failed to establish himself under Valverde’s guidance, though injury has played negative impact on his development in the club.

As part of his plan to rejuvenate his retrograding career, the 20-year-old is reportedly eyeing a move away from La Liga to a club where he would feature more prominently and the Gunners are being tipped as his next destination.

After selling Alexis Sanchez, Olivier Giroud and Theo Walcott to United, Chelsea and Everton respectively during the winter transfer window, the Gunners have not been too clinical in front of goals and they hope to convince the youngster to join them so as to provide a deadly attacking threat in the upcoming season.

According to Don Balon, Barcelona are hoping to acquire the service of Hector Bellerin in the summer after seeing Nelson Semedo struggling in his first season at Camp Nou.

Should Dembele move to Arsenal, Welbeck and Alex Iwobi could be forced to move out of the Emirates stadium as they have been out of form throughout this season.
