Former Manchester United player Cristiano Ronaldo has advised Madrid president to ensure he acquires David De Gea’s services in the summer so that the team will continue to reign as the best European club in the upcoming season.
The Galaticos are in Champion league semi-final for the third consecutive season and they are on course to qualify for the tournament’s final match after defeating Bayern Munich 2-1 in yesterday’s clash at the Allianz Arena.
According to one of the best players in football history, Madrid will be more stronger at the back should the Spaniard agree to move to the Spanish Capital in the summer transfer window.
Madrid almost acquired the goalie’s signature in 2015, only to see United pulled out of the deal having failed to find his capable replacement. Though De Gea remains Madrid’s prime target, the Galaticos are also eyeing a possible move for Chelsea netminder Thibaut Courtois.
Apart from the Spain international, Ronaldo also believes the acquisition of in-form Liverpool and Egypt international striker Mohammed Salah will bring more quality to the team’s attacking prowess in the upcoming season.
The Egyptian scored two goals and also provided two assists to help his side to a convincing 5-2 victory over Roma in Tuesday’s Champions League semi-final clash at Anfield. Madrid have equally shown their interest in the 43-goal poacher but the Reds are not ready to sanction his move out of the club
Ronaldo featured in more than 300 matches for the Red devils ,winning two Balon D’Or awards before his record-breaking switch to Santiago Bernabeu in 2009.
