Outgoing Premier League Champions, Chelsea have reportedly begun unofficial talks with Real Madrid youngster Marco Asensio so as to convince him to move to Stamford Bridge during the next transfer market.
As part of the Blues move to snap him up from the Galacticos, Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is reportedly part of Chelsea’s representatives to discuss with the Spaniard over a possible switch to the west London club.
The billionaire has also advised the team’s board of directors that they must do all they could to ensure that Marco Asensio signs for the Blues ahead of next season.
Marco Asensio has seen his first-team actions reduced due to Gareth Bale’s return from injury and he is considering moving out of Santiago Bernabeu as soon as possible, according to Don Balon.
Despite extending his contract with the European Champions last year, the 21-year-old forward wants a move to a new club where he would play more regularly than he is doing presently under Zinedine Zidane.
Chelsea face huge goalscoring crisis throughout this season and they are hoping to sign the 10-goal striker as part of their way to improve their attacking threat next season.
It is believed that former Real Madrid attacker Alvaro Morata will be used by the Blues as part of their strategy to lure the youngster to the Stamford Bridge stadium in the summer, considering the relationship between both players during Morata’s time at the Spanish Capital before moving to West London.
