According to ESPN, Chelsea winger Kenedy might be heading to Arsenal in the summer as the sport journal reports that Arsene Wenger is leading the chase for the player’s signature ahead of Bayern Munich and Paris St-German who are hoping to lure him to their respective clubs this summer.
The Brazilian youngster joined the Blues from Serie A club Fluminense in 2015 for a deal which is believed to be at the range of £6.3m but he has failed to impress the club throughout his stay at Stamford Bridge despite appearing in 27 matches for the Blues before being loaned out to Watford last season.
At Watford, Kenedy showed much promises but that couldn’t convince Antonio Conte to give him any role in the Blues squad as the Italian manager loaned him out to Newcastle before the start of this season.
Kenedy, 22, is presently in fine form for the Magpies, he has been directly involved in four goals so far. His impressive performance hasn’t gone unnoticed as top European clubs are vying for his signature but Arsenal are tipped as his next destination ahead of next season.
Despite having two years left in his contract with the Blues, the Gunners are reportedly set to offer a £10m deal for the Brazilian in the summer.
Meanwhile, Newcastle manager Rafa Benitez is desperately considering signing the youngster on a permanent deal should he avoid being relegated from the England’s top-flight league by the end of the season.
