One of the present trending topics on Twitter is Conte’s speculated resignation from being Chelsea manager for the rest of the campaign.
The Italian manager was in charge of the team in their uninspiring 1-1 draw against West Ham which automatically ruined the team’s chances of qualifying for next season’s Champions League competition.
In the late hours of yesterday, a rumour emanated from Stamford Bridge via Twitter that Conte has left his position as the Blues manager after a failed mission to defend the league title he won in his first season in the Premier League.
According to Journalist Pete O’Rourke via his verified Twitter account, Conte has left the club as he won’t be in the team’s managerial post when the Blues take on Southampton on Wednesday in the FA Cup semi-final clash.
The journalist’s tweets turn out to be a mere speculation as Daily Mail journalist Darren Lewis later confirmed through his Twitter account that Conte still remains as the Blues boss despite increased calls from the fans for his sack before the end of the season.
Another well-recognized radio reporter Dan Leverne also wrote on his page that the Italian has no plan of leaving the club before the close of the season.
According to the reporter, Conte remains with Chelsea till the end of the season.
As of now, it remains unknown whether the tactician remains or not but fingers are crossed as reporters hope to hear from the manager himself before tomorrow’s must-win match against the Saints.
