Manchester United and Belgium international Marouane Fellaini has a longtime source of speculation as he was tipped to leave Old Trafford last winter but he failed to move out of the club.

The uncertainty over his is future keeps on increasing as there are shocking rumours via Daily Mail which suggests that Liverpool are considering making a swoop for his signature.

According to French media outlet L’Equipe, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is hoping to bring the 31-year-old midfielder to his team as part of his search move to bolster his team’s physicality at the middle of the pitch.

Having known that the player would be ending his contract with the team by the end of the current campaign, Manchester United boss José Mourinho offered him a one-year extension but he rejected the offer claiming he wants to move to another club where he would see more game-time compared to what he’s received so far this season.

Should he eventually move to the Anfield stadium, Fellaini will become the first  United player to switch from Old Trafford to Anfield stadium, vice-versa in more than 50 years.

Turkish giants Besiktas and Fenerbahce are reportedly in the race to sign the midfielder by the end of the season as a free agent.
