Former Premier League Champions Manchester United are in shock move to re-sign their former player Cristiano Ronaldo this summer according to Don Balon.
The Portuguese striker has been a source of transfer speculation for more two transfer periods as is was linked with a move to PSG and Chinese Super League last summer but he managed to remain at the Spanish Capital where he helped the team to their second consecutive UEFA Champions League trophy against Juventus last season.
Just as the previous transaction period, the superstar is reportedly being tracked by his compatriot José Mourinho who is hoping he convince the striker to join the Old Trafford outfits ahead of the upcoming season.
It was reported last month via Don Balon, who are known for their authentic reports, that the manager has advised United’s hierarchy to spend much on the Balon d’Or winner and they seem to have heeded to the advice as they now table £150m for the striker’s signature.
After Ronaldo’s sluggish start to the season, he is currently in one of his best forms for the club as he now scores goals as frequent as he used to during his days with the Red Devils.
The 33-year-old was in top form against Juventus last Tuesday, finding the back of the net twice before Marcelo close the scoring with a well-taken goal to bring the scoreline to 3-0 in their favour heading to the return leg at Santiago Bernabeu.
With his recent form, Madrid might want to prevent him from moving out of the club which could lead to United doubling their offer.
