Antonio Conte was sometime linked with a summer move for Real Madrid attacking midfielder James Rodriguez who is on a two-year loan deal at Bayern Munich, but the latest report might be a sad one for the Italian manager as the Colombian international chooses to remain at the Allianz Arena.
According to Don Balon, the Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich are set to permanently buy the midfielder which means they will pay €42m to Real Madrid so that the player will remain as a Munich’s player.
James has rejuvenated his career since he joined the Bundesliga Champions last summer. This season has also been a great one for him as he has found the back of the net in five times and also registering 11 assists in all competitions for hyncke’s team.
Chelsea will now have to look elsewhere for another attack-minded player who will bring spark to their frontline which has been poor throughout the campaign.
Chelsea are not only the club who would be affected by the player’s decision to remain at the Allianz Arena, Liverpool and Manchester United have both been linked with his signature but they might as well turn their attention to other players.
Liverpool strikers have been a threat to defenders this season but Klopp is looking to bring the Colombian star to Anfield stadium due to the uncertainty surrounding in-form Mohammed Salah’s future at the club.
