Liverpool who have been impressive this season are set to spend big in the summer transfer window in order to challenge Manchester City for the title next season should the Citizens emerge the League Champions by the end of the current campaign.
According to Talk Sports pundit Quinn, the Reds are willing to upgrade their team ahead of next season and Jurgen Klopp is looking at the prospect of adding at least two players to each department.
The pundit also admits Manchester city are in the class of their own but he believes it would take lots of spending and time before the Merseyside club could Rival the Citizens for next season’s League trophy.
Liverpool have reportedly linked with a move for Wilfred Ndidi and Jorginho as they seek for Emre Can’s replacement but they will need to spend big if they must sign either of the two centre midfielders next summer.
Jurgen Klopp will welcome Naby Keita to Anfield stadium next summer and Quinn was very excited that the young and impressive will be moving to the Merseyside club ahead of the season so as to help the team at the middle of the pitch.
Though teams are still competing for glory across the world but Quinn revealed that Premier League has already been won by Pep Guardiola’s team who are 15 points ahead of Manchester United who occupy the second position.
City will clinch the Premier League trophy as early as Saturday if they are victorious over their neighbour Manchester United at Old Trafford.
Liverpool join race for Dutch international winger
From every indication, English Premier League leaders Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is set to make use of the last option in his transfer claim to bring in a new winger to the Anfield.
It would be recalled that Jurgen Klopp stated that he is happy with his squad and might not involve in the winter transfer window but he made it clear that he could still storm the winter market should an emergency arise.
There could be an urgent need for the German international to secure a new winger for the Merseyside club which is the reason why he seeks for Dutch international winger Arnaut Danjuma Groeneveld, according to Mail Online.
The Merseyside club are not alone in the chase for Arnaut Danjuma Groeneveld as they will battle with Tottenham, AC Milan, and Everton for his signature.
According to reports, Italian Serie A outfit AC Milan have already gone ahead to table the sum of £9 million for the Club Brugge star but it was rejected.
However, the Reds will hope to move in with a better bid so as to be able to win the competition for the player form other suitors as well as add strength to the team with the second half of the season already started.
Liverpool target 26-year-old striker as Solanke’s replacement
If report emanating from Anfield via Sky Sports is something to trust, Liverpool could complete their first signing at the ongoing January window.
The highly regarded media channel claim that Jurgen Klopp has identified Red Bull Salzburg striker Moanes Dabour as the player to occupy Solanke’s position in the team.
The German manager allowed Dominic Solanke to complete his move to Bournemouth after receiving £18m from the Cherries a week ago and that created a vacuum in the team’s attacking setup.
Sky Sports revealed the former Borussia Dortmund manager is closer to reaching a €25m / £22m agreement with RB Salzburg for the 26-year-old striker.
In the same vein, another media outlet Transfer Market Web suggest that the Israeli international is willing to join the Reds this month and he’s pushing for a switch to Anfield before the transaction period comes to a close.
Meanwhile, The Austrian side are yet to place a price tag on the striker as they aren’t thinking of letting him go so soon.
Transfer Market Web further revealed that Championship side Leeds United, Premier League side Fulham, and La Liga’s Valencia are all in contention for Dabour’s signature. Nonetheless, the Reds are leading the park for his services and a deal could be sealed with Salzburg this week.
Dabour has played 66 matches for Salzburg since his move from Grasshopper Club in 2016-17 season He has scored 33 goals in all competitions.
This season has seen him scored nine goals from 19 games and that has endeared him to the Merseyside club and other suitors listed above.
Jurgen Klopp shows interest in Club Brugge’s youngster
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has developed an ‘unexpected’ interest in Club Brugge winger Arnaut Danmark Groeneveld and could be added to his team this month.
The 21-year-old Dutchman made his debut appearance for the Dutch national team last year and he’s been an important part of Brugge’s set up this campaign.
Danjuma has featured in 11 Eredivisie games this term and he has scored four goals with four assists.
His wonderful display at either side of the flank has caught the eyes of many European clubs, including AC Milan and Porto.
AC Milan reportedly offered £9m for his signature last month but the Eredivisie giants turned down the deal, making their intentions to retain his service beyond this season known to the San Siro outfits.
Despite Milan’s failure to lure the youngster to San Siro, Klopp has high hopes of completing his signature this month.
He will count on Virgil Van Dijk, Lovren and Wijnaldum— who are Danjuma’s national teammates — to convince the player on the importance of featuring for the Reds.
According to the Daily Mail, the Anfield outfits are set to offer £10m for the player before this weekend as they want him as Dominic Solanke’s replacement.
However, Danjuma’s move to Anfield looks very much unlikely due to intense competition among Liverpool attackers.
Danjuma may struggle for game-time because of the large pool of established strikers/wingers under Klopp’s guidance.
The Reds are doing great in the League as they comfortably occupy the first position in the League standings with 57 points, four above closest rivals Manchester City.
Highly anticipated Liverpool signing has been rubbished
It was expected that English Premier League giants Liverpool will move in on Brighton star Pascal Gross in this winter transfer window and complete a deal for him before it runs out.
This is after the Reds were reported to be keen on his signature and would do all it takes to have him join the Anfield.
All of the expectation to see him in the Red shirt has been squashed by claims from BBC Radio Merseyside sport editor Ian Kennedy, via the Daily Star that Liverpool will not in any way move in for the player.
According to him, Liverpool are not interested in him as reported by the British press while admitting that he is a good player who helped his side record a first successful season in the Premier League.
The BBC reporter noted that Reds manager Jurgen Klopp never makes his transfer intention known to the public until it has been sealed and confirmed.
However, the chances of Liverpool sealing a deal in this winter window remains slim after claims by the German boss that he has got a good squad he can rely upon.
Meanwhile, Liverpool still sustain the lead on top of the Premier League table.
Liverpool loanee returns
Liverpool loanee Connor Randall has returned back to the Anfield after ending his loan spell at Rochdale due to an injury he sustained.
An official statement by Rochdale confirmed the player’s return to his owners at the Merseyside as they revealed that he had an unsuccessful stay at the club due to the injury he sustained which limited him to just three appearances.
Connor Randall has a fractured cheekbone and that was for his loan spell at the club, a development that has frustrated and an unhappy one for his parent club.
The 23-year-old has in the past had 8 appearances with the Reds first team before he was asked to leave on loan after failing to break into the team for regular playing time.
It is now unclear what the situation would be for Connor Randall but suggestions are that he would be returned on another loan spell should he regains his full fitness knowing that his return would not be to the pitch but to the treatment room.
However, expectations are that Liverpool will loan Connor Randall again when he fully returns or will be given out on a permanent basis as it is obvious that he is not in the plans of manager Jurgen Klopp.
Liverpool, PSG in swap deal talks
Emerging reports reveal that English Premier League outfit Liverpool and French Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint Germain are both in talks that will have them swap players.
The French side are keen on the signature of Chelsea man Fabinho while it is the same level of interest by the Merseyside club for Adrien Rabiot.
However, Adrien Rabiot is keen to have a change in his workplace having fallen out with the club while Liverpool are also interested in him but the Brazilian international Fabinho seem not to be ready for a move away at the moment.
Fabinho has been impressive this season having grown to become a major part of the manager Jurgen Klopp’s side despite the slow start of the season.
PSG have indicated strong interest in him but it is unclear if he will fancy a move to the French Ligue 1 giants.
Fabinho only joined Liverpool in the summer form Monaco with the fee of£45 million and has made 19 appearances coring only once and giving two assists.
With a contract running at the Anfield until 2023, Fabinho is worth about £50 million according to his release clause but the French Ligue 1 side will have a good since they are willing to give Adrien Rabiot in return.
Why Liverpool should move in for 14-goal Portuguese midfielder
English Premier League leaders Liverpool have been told why they must move in for Sporting Lisbon midfielder Bruno Fernandes in this winter transfer window.
Bruno Fernandes who is known to be very energetic has the quality that can help the Reds land the Premier League title this season.
The Reds are looking to be having the ability to lift the league title this season having come close in the last season campaign by finishing second behind Manchester City.
However, Bruno Fernandes who is a 24-year-old star has impressed so far this season, having been tipped as one of the finest across Europe at the moment.
With the competition looking tougher for the league title, Liverpool are being advised to secure more options that will not only be important in the squad but will help to score more goals.
There is no doubt that the Merseyside club are desperate to replace James Milner who is reported to be on his way from the club.
Meanwhile, manager Jurgen Klopp will look to win his first title of the season after three years in charge of the club as he is not ready to leave anything to chance to avoid losing out of the title race.
Fabinho not eying Chelsea, makes his wish clear
English Premier League leaders Liverpool star Fabinho has reiterated his willingness to remain at the Anfield beyond this winter transfer window.
The Brazilian international has been linked with a move away from the club after reports that he was unhappy at the club as a result of his lack of playing time under manager Jurgen Klopp.
With time, the German manager gave the Brazilian some opportunities and he seems to have won the heart of Jurgen Klopp for more playing time.
French Ligue 1 outfit Paris Saint Germain are reported to be keen on the former Monaco star but they have been told that he will not be available for any price.
According to reports, Fabinho had held talks with PSG sporting director Antero Henrique but was not satisfied with the offer that was tabled which made him walk out of talks.
However, Fabinho is not interested in moving away from the club but to secure more playing time as he sees his future with the Merseyside club under manager Jurgen Klopp.
Meanwhile, Liverpool are now comfortable on top in the league table as the German boss seeks to win his first title in his three years in charge of the club.
Liverpool a ‘disgrace’, coach speaks on failed transfer
English Premier League leaders Liverpool have been branded as a ‘disgrace’ by Cardiff City head coach Neil Warnock after he failed to have his loan bid for Reds player Nathaniel Clyne sanctioned by the club.
It is no longer news that the Merseyside club sanctioned a move for Nathaniel Clyne on loan to Bournemouth some days back despite the big interest from Cardiff City.
Nathaniel Clyne was announced dome hours after another Liverpool star Dominic Solanke sealed a move worth about £19 million in the same direction some days back as well.
Angry Cardiff City boss claims he was deceived by the Reds side as they had given him his words that Nathaniel Clyne would be joining his side but could not keep their promise.
Cardiff City have just been dumped out o the FA Cup and the boss said Liverpool did not showcase class in their dealings as he expressed disappointment in the player and the club as well.
The City boss noted that he had been waiting for Nathaniel Clyne despite having the opportunity to land some other players but he did not.
According to Cardiff City boss, watching Nathaniel Clyne have his debut with other sides hurts him a lot.
Adam Lallana loan decision made
It has finally been decided by English Premier League outfit Liverpool that Adam Lallana would not be leaving the club this winter transfer window on loan.
Reports had claimed that the star midfielder is unhappy at the Anfield under manager Jurgen Klopp and will be seeking a move away from the club this January window.
The speculation also attracted suitors for the star player with Turkish Super Lig giants Fenerbahce coming forward to bid for Adam Lallana as they expected to land him before the transfer window closes.
However, reports according to Sky Sports claim that the Reds have made the decision to keep Adam Lallana and will not loan him away yet.
Manager Jurgen Klopp struggling with the fitness of his defenders which raises fears that he could lose some more players and that is why he is keen to keep Adam Lallana and integrate him back into the team.
Adam Lallana has just had two appearances as a substitute for the Merseyside club which makes him frustrated, after recovering from an injury he sustained.
However, the Turkish Super Lig outfit will have to look elsewhere with the decision already made by the club.
I, is however, not clear if the decision by the club would be accepted by Adam Lallana who is keen to play regularly.
