Liverpool fans have advised Jurgen Klopp to start Nathaniel Clyne against Premier runaway Champions Manchester City when both teams meet in Wednesday’s Champions League.
The former Southampton player joined the Merseyside club in the last summer transfer window but is yet to make an appearance for the club due to his back injury which requires surgery for full recovery.
In his absence, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has used two youngsters – Trent Arnold and Joe Gomez – at the right-back position, though they are impressive but the Reds faithful believe Clyne would provide more stability to the team’s defence line.
Considering the intensity of the game against Manchester City, the fans are hoping to see Clyne start from the blast of the whistle but they could be asking too much from the German tactician who is not convince with Clyne’s fitness level.
It should be recalled that Manchester City tasted their first Premier League defeat of the season in the hands of Liverpool, the Citizens will be out in full force against the Reds so as to avoid losing.
Having crashed out of other competitions, Liverpool must emerge victorious against their Premier league counterpart if they must stand a chance of winning any trophy this season.
