Nonso Madueke who currently plays for Tottenham youth team is reportedly in Manchester United transfer targets this summer after his impressive performance for the North London club in this season’s UEFA Youth Champions League.
The 16-year-old England’s starlet will see his contract with Tottenham expires in the summer and has reportedly turned down the new contract offered him by the club as he wants to move out of Wembley stadium ahead of next season.
United have been monitoring the player’s progression since last year and they are now set to make an official approach towards bringing him to Old Trafford after seeing the quality he possessed.
According to the Daily Mirror, the Red Devils have invited Madueke to their youth team for an invitational tournament which will take place later this week on Spain.
Should Tottenham allow the player to honour the Red Devils’ invitation, The MIC tournament will promptly be used by United youth coaches to completely assess his character on and off the pitch.
The Daily Mirror also reveals that Chelsea are also keen on signing Madueke ahead of the Red Devils. Just like United, the Blues scout are happy with what they’ve seen from the youngster, they, therefore, believed that adding him to their academy will be of great advantage to the club.
With this report, Chelsea and Manchester United might have to table big-money transfer before they could convince Tottenham to let go of the player.
