Liverpool to make move for Porto goalkeeper Iker Casillas as they might end their interest in Roma goalkeeper Alisson.
Though the Reds first-choice goalkeeper has shown lots of promises while in goal this season, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp seems not comfortable with the Germany international due to his inexperience.
The manager was linked with a summer move for Roma’s goalie Alisson, who is also a being tracked by Chelsea and Arsenal but reports suggest the Reds could pull out of the race for the netminder due to Roma’s huge asking price on the player’s services.
It is believed that the Serie A giants are reportedly asking a fee worth £70m from Alison’s suitors but Liverpool are not ready to pay up to that price for the netminder and they are now monitoring former Real Madrid keeper Iker Casillas who has had a great season with the Portuguese side.
Casillas 36, joined Porto in 2015 on a free transfer deal after some horrible showings for the Galacticos.
The Spaniard is no doubt a world-class goalie who has proven over time that he’s one of the best netminders in the world.
Casillas is still contracted with Porto till the end of the season and he is not willing to extend his stay as he hopes to make a switch to Premier League ahead of next season.
According to Spanish outlet Mi Otra Liga, Liverpool are hoping to get the Spaniard before other clubs begin to show interest in his service in the summer.
