Chelsea Starlet set for PEC Zwolle’s Move as He is on Trial
Chelsea youngster Isaac Christie-Davies seems tired over his lack of first-team action at Stamford Bridge and he is reportedly in search of a new club where regular first-team appearance will be guaranteed.
He is said to be in Netherlands where he is currently on trial with PEC Zwolle, according to one Dutch media outlet Football Oranje.
ESPN reported last week that the Blues have advised the youngster to look for another suitor who would capture him in the summer as they are not interested in extending his stay at the club beyond the end of the current campaign.
The 20-year-old midfielder has been with Chelsea since he was six years old and he’s spent all of his careers at Stamford Bridge. He was one of the Blues U18 players who emerged victorious in the UEFA Youth League and also FA Youth Cup in 2015/16.
The player who has featured for England’s U17 will be hoping that his performance during the trials would be good enough to earn him a new contract from the Eredivisie club in the next two weeks or so depending on the club’s manager John Schip and his backroom staff’s decision.
Liverpool have also shown interest in the youngster as they hope to bolster their team in the summer but it is yet to be seen whether moving to Anfield stadium will be best for Christie-Davies’ developing career, considering the level of competition for a place in Jurgen Klopp’s starting lineup especially at the attacking department.
