Bernd Leno to Reject Liverpool for Napoli In The Summer
Liverpool will surely be in the transfer market for a new goalkeeper as there are uncertainty surrounding their two goalkeeper’s who have both endured a bittersweet experience at the Merseyside side club this season.
Simon Mignolet was the team’s first choice goalkeeper keeper in the early part of the season but he lost his place in Klopp’s starting lineup to Loris Karius after making some schoolboy and costly errors.
Though Karius is fast becoming a better goalkeeper at Anfield, he is being linked with a move out of the club in the summer as Jurgen Klopp believes he still has a lot to do before he could be considered as Liverpool’s number one netminder.
In their bid to sign a world-class goalie, the Reds have made an official approach to £60m-rated Roma goalkeeper Alisson in the summer but they might face an intense competition from PSG and Real Madrid who are both interested in the Brazilian netminder who has been brilliant for the Serie A side this term.
Having seen the intensity of competition for Alisson’s signature, Liverpool could pull out of the race and they are currently preparing a move for another goalkeeper. Reports suggest that Klopp is eyeing Bayer Leverkusen goalkeeper Bernd Leno who is also being monitored by numerous suitors including Napoli.
The 26-year-old netminder is one of the best keepers in Bundesliga this season and he is considered as the second goalkeeper in Jurgen Klopp’s summer transfer target list.
Napoli are reportedly ahead of the Merseyside club in the race for Leno’s signature according to reports. The Serie A giants have made an official approach to the player as they believe he is the perfect replacement for Pepe Reina who is being tipped to switch to AC Milan in the summer.
Liverpool are going to do all they could to ensure that Bernd ends up being a Liverpool player in the 2018-19 season despite intense competition from Napoli and the playing claiming he prefers the later to Liverpool.
