Chelsea are reportedly set to part way with their young midfielder Christie-Davies in the summer having told him he can leave the club in the summer.

The 20-year-old was once with Liverpool youth team during his trials at the Merseyside club. Despite his impressive performance while playing as a defender for Neil Critchley’s Under-23 side, the youngster didn’t sign a contract with the Reds as he was ignored by the club’s hierarchy and that gave the Blues the chance to snatch him from the Merseyside club.

The news emanating from Anfield stadium via ESPN claim that the Reds are now interested in bringing him back to the team on a permanent deal.

The media outlet also suggests that Chelsea are not ready to extend his contract beyond this season as they seem not impressed with what they’ve seen from the player since he switched to the Premier League title holders.

Despite being Chelsea’s Rivals, Liverpool have recorded huge success in snapping up youngsters from the Blues and they hope to achieve another success with Christie-Davies this summer.

It should be recalled that Jurgen Klopp was able to sign English striker Dominic Solanke last summer from the Blues due to the player’s lack of regular first-team action under Antonio Conte and Davies could be the second England youngster who would dump Chelsea for Liverpool in a single year.

Having joined Chelsea from Brighton Youth set up, Christie-Davies was back-to-back  FA Youth Cup winner in 2015 and 2016, he also emerged as UEFA Youth League Champion with the Blues in 2016.
